You are a soldier, stuck in a battle. A series of them, making it a war.
But these battles are different. Your mind is the battlefield, with armies of thoughts waging a war. You want peace, you want this battle to end - but alas - your hands are tied. You have no ammunition to keep the enemies at bay. Your reinforcements are still far away.
But you do have a weapon, a weapon at last. It is a grenade, promising you an evasive blast. You are at the brink of a decision. It's time for you to choose. The grenade can put an end to it all, but if you keep battling away, you don't know what could befall.
A Grenade For A Brain
Counting backwards, amidst the ticking clocks
Hunting for the keys, to pick open the locks
The battlefield in your head, ready for the war
But the army and the soldiers, are still stuck afar
No ammunition, no bullets, no dagger, no guns
Only a grenade for a brain, that’s your only chance
And the count goes backwards, edging closer to your destiny
As you look up your inventory, frantically and hastily
The grenade is ready, to be thrown into the action
It’s in your brain, and it’s a matter of your decision
You’re torn, you’re in a dilemma, and you’re in a state of dismay
You ask the Almighty to show you the way
Now imagine yourself to be in this state
A grenade for a brain, oh what could be your fate?
If you wait for support, there’s no sign of help
So would you use the grenade and blow up yourself?
