There are times when you try your best to keep yourself away from the troubles that can engulf you with the inherent angst they posses.
But what do you do? You go ahead and pave the way for them.
You happen to know the subtleties of every right and wrong step, yet you happen to take that particular one, which just about belongs to the wrong side of the line. But you do not realize that - you think you are doing the best thing in the world. After all, you thought so much about it, so how can things go wrong? It surely cannot.
This poem is short and heartfelt, and reaches out to all those who tried their best - yet - couldn't make it. One misjudgement, leading to one miscalculated step, leading to one error. Sometimes, no matter how hard you try to hold things together, it somehow, crumbles. But worry not, because you get to rebuild everything again. Remember, you took so much care, so how can you give up?
I Took So Much Care
I took so much care, to not repeat the wrong
That episode is the one that had spurred me on
I took so much care, to keep the light burning
Rectification and reconciliation were the theories I was learning
I took so much care, to avoid that perilous step
Oblivious to the fact how things would shape
I took so much care, and care is all I took
But the moment before leaping, I forgot to look
All the care I took, was undone at the end
I took so much care, and I wonder what it meant?
